If you have already applied for admission, but have not registered for any classes, you may request one term change request per application within the academic year of the original application (academic years run from summer term through spring term). Any additional requests, or a request into a second academic year, will require a new application and fee.
Please note the following before submitting a change of term:
- The program you applied to must approve all term change requests. Please check with your program before requesting a change a term. The terms in which it is possible to begin studies vary by program. Find contact information on the individual program pages.
- Processing in the Graduate School can take up to two weeks; response times within the programs can vary.
- Please log into the admission application system and select "change term" from the dropdown menu next to the application you wish to change. Documents from the original application will be copied to the new term.
If you already registered for courses in the term to which you originally applied, and the term has not yet started, you must also contact the Registrar's Office to withdraw from those courses before the first day of classes. If registration has occurred, we cannot process term change requests once the term has started. In addition, you will be billed for those courses if they are not dropped by the Business Affairs 100% tuition refund deadline.
