Bioengineering is an interdisciplinary field that applies engineering principles and quantitative methods to the advancement of knowledge at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and system levels, and to the development of new biologicals, materials, devices, and processes.
Oregon State University and the University of Oregon have partnered to offer joint Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Bioengineering, giving students the opportunity to work with faculty advisors at either campus. Oregon State University also offers a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Bioengineering.

Corvallis
GRE scores are not required to apply for admission.
Joint program MS and PhD students must meet the language requirements for OSU, as well as the language requirements for the UO. MEng: TOEFL iBT 80 (18 subscores) IELTS 6.5 (5.5 subscores).

The M.S. and Ph.D degree programs utilize a separate application system. Please visit the Joint Bioengineering Graduate Program application portal to apply for the M.S. or Ph.D.
