Daniel McDermott is a Professional Science Master’s student in the Environmental Sciences program at Oregon State University. During his tenure at OSU, he developed an interest in corporate sustainability strategy, habitat restoration, and environmental economics. Alongside his studies, Daniel works full-time as an environmental consultant, where he helps clients understand and manage their greenhouse gas emissions. He also serves on his company’s sustainability committee, assisting with the development of an annual corporate sustainability report. As a young professional that is dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and strives to be recognized as a leader in the field, he firmly believes that all organizations have the capacity to make significant impacts through the implementation of pragmatic, holistic, and data-based decision making.
