Aidan Craig Sundine, Communication, M.S.

Aidan Craig Sundine

Aidan Craig Sundine is a first year Grad Student, pursuing a Masters of Science in Communication at Oregon State.

Aidan has had a very nonlinear path to her degree thus far. Having started at the University of Hawaii, she transferred to Oregon State, to change of degree from marine science and to be closer to her family. “In my family, there is a large emphasis on furthering your education (college or otherwise) and being lifelong learners, so when I found an area of study that I adored, my family was all in on me pursuing that, as long as there was a reasonable likelihood of a career.”.

Aidan is in the early stages of thesis planning. So far, she has a few topics that are of particular interest. “I’ve always had a deep interest in and care for the natural world, and when I switched from marine science, I told myself that I would take the science and make it digestible. Is that where I think I’m ultimately headed? No, but the desire to focus on the environment and the natural world has remained.”

When not in classes and “rotting in my bed trying to catch up on rest”, Aidan enjoys the outdoors; rock climbing, camping or otherwise, as well as “taking on unnecessarily complicated cooking/baking projects”.
