When can I get my diploma if I’m not attending the ceremony? Spring diplomas that are approved for release at Commencement but not distributed at the ceremony will be available at the Graduate School on June 18 beginning at noon. Picture identification must be presented to obtain your diploma. We are located at Heckart Lodge, 2900 SW Jefferson Way.
How do I arrange to have my diploma mailed to me? You need to submit a Diploma Mailing Request/Duplicate Diploma Order form. The mailing fee is US$25 (US$40 for international mailing).
All advanced degree recipients are given the opportunity to complete an exit survey that gathers information about the graduate school experience. You will receive a link to the survey approximately one month after the term ends and your degree is officially conferred. The results are completely confidential and are very important in helping us improve all aspects of graduate education at OSU. Thank you in advance for completing this important questionnaire.
The Graduate School will certify your degree once all degree requirements are complete. Once certified, a degree statement will be visible on your official transcripts. The Registrar’s office confers degrees and distributes diplomas at the end of every term.
OSU holds only one formal Commencement ceremony each year in June. If you complete all degree requirements after the previous June Commencement deadlines and before the upcoming June Commencement deadlines you may attend the upcoming June Commencement. Only if you have completed all degree requirements by the specified deadline may you participate in the Commencement ceremony. If you are eligible, the Registrar will mail you detailed information about Commencement during spring term. See the Graduate School deadlines page and the Registrar's graduation information and commencement pages for more details.
