All advanced degree recipients are given the opportunity to complete an exit survey that gathers information about the graduate school experience. You will receive a link to the survey approximately one month after the term ends and your degree is officially conferred. The results are completely confidential and are very important in helping us improve all aspects of graduate education at Oregon State. Thank you in advance for completing this important questionnaire.
The Graduate School will certify your degree once all degree requirements are complete. Once certified, a degree statement will be visible on your official transcripts. The Registrar’s office confers degrees and distributes diplomas at the end of every term.
Oregon State has one formal commencement ceremony each year in June. All students completing their degree the summer term before commencement through the summer term after commencement are eligible to attend.
Deadlines are set for spring term graduates to be guaranteed they will receive their diploma at commencement. Students not meeting the posted deadlines can still attend, but will most likely receive a diploma case with a letter.
For students completing their degree the summer after commencement and who want to walk in the ceremony, a signed form is required, see commencement forms.
Visit the Commencement page for information and deadlines.
