This program provides the Graduate School Dean the authority to award graduate tuition scholarships to eligible students who do not fall into the categories provided by items in the Graduate Tuition Waiver Policy if doing so meets other institutional interests in diversity, enrollment goals, faculty productivity, student retention, or student success.

The intent is to provide the Graduate Dean flexibility in responding to institutional needs for graduate student funding support.

Please Note: Due to increased funding needs to support qualifying fellowships, the Graduate School does not anticipate having any funding available during 2023-2024 to support Targeted requests.

Criteria

Student must be a degree-seeking graduate student in good academic standing and must not have an anticipated Graduate Assistantship appointment for 2023-2024. Other criteria will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Procedures

To request support for the 2023-2024 academic year, please complete the Tuition Support Request survey for each anticipated student.  The survey will prompt you to demonstrate how the award would advance institutional interests in diversity, enrollment goals, faculty productivity, student retention, or student success.  Please email questions to [email protected]. The Graduate School will contact you regarding eligibility for the tuition support request.
