This program provides the Graduate Dean the authority to award graduate tuition scholarships to eligible students who do not fall into the categories provided by items #5 through #9 in the Graduate Tuition Remission Allocation Model, if doing so meets other institutional interests in diversity, enrollment goals, faculty productivity, student retention, or student success.
The intent is to provide the Graduate Dean flexibility in responding to institutional needs for graduate student funding support.
Student must be a degree-seeking graduate student in good academic standing. Other criteria will be determined on a case by case basis.
Academic units may submit written requests to the Graduate School at Graduate.Scholarships@oregonstate.edu. The request must demonstrate how the award would advance institutional interests in diversity, enrollment goals, faculty productivity, student retention, or student success (these requests include but are not limited to the McNair Scholar Incentive). Please email questions and or requests to Graduate.scholarships@Oregonstate.edu. If approved, the Graduate School will supply you with next steps to officially submit your request.
Determined on a case by case basis, but not to exceed the value of full-time graduate tuition each term of the award period as appropriate for the student's residency status.
Tuition support will be posted directly to the student's account as a scholarship at the beginning of each academic term during the award period, pending the student's eligibility and required enrollment for the term.
Deadline for nomination is February 13, 2019.
