The Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU) provides a forum to address important issues facing our campus community. Their website contains information about ASOSU, the Graduate Student Senate, various committees and task forces, as well as a special subsidy program administered through ASOSU to provide funding for graduate students to attend professional conferences in their field.
As a "gateway to the future," CDC provides resources for students and alumni to achieve their professional goals through job fairs, the Beaver Recruiting Program, career counseling, workshops, internship opportunities, and job-hunting tools. CDC also posts student employment information for positions on and off campus.

The OSU Center for Teaching and Learning helps faculty, graduate teaching assistants, departments, and colleges achieve professional excellence in teaching and learning by encouraging and facilitating the scholarship of teaching and learning.
We assist faculty, staff, students and the broader community to commercialize research and concepts. Our staff, mentors, and student interns work directly with innovators and entrepreneurs to explore markets, develop products, and obtain customers.
To be effective in today's workforce, graduates need professional and soft skills in addition to their disciplinary expertise. The Graduate School provides educational and training opportunities to cover these vital skills. GRAD courses and workshops, as part of our student success offerings, will catalyze a change in how graduate students are prepared to become our future leaders, scholars, scientists, engineers, artists and professionals.

The 18-credit Graduate Certificate in College and University Teaching (GCCUT) is designed to provide advanced coursework and experiential learning opportunities to students who plan to pursue careers in teaching in higher education settings or who plan to pursue careers in other fields that may require similar facilitation skills. Students completing the Graduate Certificate in College and University Teaching will receive a formal, transcript-visible credential.
The Graduate Student Advisory Council (GSAC) provides a graduate student perspective on topics related to the graduate student experience. The GSAC serves as a focus group for the Graduate School, student affairs and other administrative units at Oregon State University.
As graduate student leaders, members represent their affiliated colleges, programs, and student organizations. They are frequently called upon to participate in a variety of university initiatives where graduate student voices are needed.
This program provides prospective and current graduate students with positive peer relationships that promotes a more involved community on campus. In addition to fostering positive relationships with students on campus, ambassadors travel to conferences and events representing Oregon State University.
The Graduate Student Commons, located on the sixth floor of the Valley Library is a space for graduate students to utilize for studying, socializing, and meetings. There are three meeting rooms available for reservation: two small group rooms and a 24-seat classroom. There are also long-term research rooms available to reserve for students in the writing phase of their degree.
OSU has a host of student-led organizations that support academic success, professional development, and community. With a simple search, it's easy to find a student organization that fits your interests and/or aspirations.
The Graduate Women’s Network (GWN) is dedicated to establishing community among graduate women throughout the university. They do this by creating opportunities for: Collaboration and support across departments and colleges; leadership development; networking; advocacy; conversation; relaxation and wellness; as well as speakers and discussions.

Oregon State University offers graduate students a wide array of opportunities to engage in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E). Engaging in and learning the skills of I&E can make you a more attractive candidate to employers and employers will typically pay higher wages to those employees with those skills. I&E skills can help you become career resilient.

Inspiration Dissemination is an award-winning radio program that occurs Sunday nights at 7PM Pacific Standard Time on KBVR Corvallis, 88.7FM. Each week on the program, we host a different graduate student worker from Oregon State University to talk about their lives and passion for research here at the university.

The National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity is an independent professional development, training, and mentoring community of over 71,000 graduate students, post-docs, and faculty members. We are 100% dedicated to supporting academics in making successful transitions throughout their careers. We offer on-campus workshops, professional development training, and intensive mentoring programs.
On the second floor of the Meier and Frank Building, the OSU Portland Center is the home of hybrid learning experiences blending the best of online and face-to-face education. Included in the space are some first-come, first-serve meeting rooms for students for studying or meeting with colleagues. ⠀
Research in Action (RIA) is a podcast about topics and issues related to research in higher education featuring experts across a range of disciplines.
Join colleagues and the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) every Tuesday for just-in-time-teaching workshops. Discuss research-based teaching approaches identified as effective in the scholarship of teaching; enhance teaching and learning through the use of instructional technology; and share and discuss just-in-time teaching needs, challenges, and successes experienced in the classroom. Attend one or all. Certificates are provided to those who complete the series. These 90-minute workshops are facilitated twice in Milam 215 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Registration not required.
