The following scholarship and fellowship programs are administered by the Graduate School. In most cases, nominations must be submitted by academic unit administration. Students may review this list for eligibility and then contact their major professor or academic unit for consideration.
Please note, Graduate School awards are typically not a student’s primary funding source. In addition to Graduate School specific awards, students seeking funding for their degree should engage in conversations with their program directors and/or faculty about potential funding opportunities in their program.
Beth Ray ARCS Foundation Scholar Award
The Beth Ray ARCS Foundation Scholar Award is provided through the ARCS Foundation Oregon Chapter and funded by contributions from former OSU President, Ed Ray and the Graduate School. The award is $18,000, payable over three years at $6,000 per year. This specific ARCS award, The Beth Ray ARCS Foundation Oregon Scholar Award, is awarded every three years with fall 2021 marking its inaugural offering.

Delson Bridge to the Future Fund
The Delson Bridge to the Future Fund assists domestic and international graduate students in the final phase of their graduate education to pay research expenses, publication costs, and other incidentals that stand in the way of completing their graduate studies at OSU.

This award supports outstanding doctoral students who are in the final stages of their dissertations by offering an award to cover the cost of three graduate credits of tuition and mandatory fees for one academic term.

Dr. Hari S. & Dr. Renuka R. Sethi Graduate Scholarship
Annual merit-based graduate scholarship with preference given to domestic or international graduate students studying in the areas of fisheries science or human development.

The Graduate School, in partnership with Oregon State Ecampus, has set aside funding to assist online students who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship that interferes with academic progress.

Annual award for graduate study in applied economics, kinesiology, human development and family studies, or nutrition. Applicants must have graduated from any Oregon State University bachelor's or master's degree program to be eligible.

Jesse M. Bell Memorial Graduate Student Loan
The Jesse M. Bell Memorial Graduate Student Loan Program, created by the estate of Jesse Bell, provides loans for meritorious graduate students. These non-need-based loans are available on a one-time basis to domestic and international enrolled graduate students to assist with educational expenses associated with their advanced degree.

Graduate students are invited to submit proposals for reimbursement of up to $500 for qualifying trainings, resources, and activities that contribute to professional skills development and that complement the degree program but are not normally available or required as a part of it.

Thurgood Marshall Graduate Award
The Thurgood Marshall Scholarship is intended to support the retention of meritorious graduate students whose accomplishments and activities demonstrate leadership, service, and commitment to fostering a just and equitable community.
