MCB 525 will take place Sept 9-19th and include weekend work.  Two exciting research projects will be carried out during the class, providing the context in which the techniques will be learned and applied.  The first project will focus on gene expression in soil bacteria and the roles of antibiotics as regulatory signaling molecules.  The second project will explore the microbial diversity of soils around the OSU campus, focusing on the molecular techniques and bioinformatic tools used in microbiome research.
