Brenda Tracy, sexual violence survivor and national advocate, and Jackie Sandmeyer from the Oregon Attorney General Sexual Assault Task Force will be here to share their knowledge and insight.

  • What is the impact of violence on students and employees?
  • What is the national response to this crisis?
  • What are universities doing?
  • How can we all help to remove some of the stigma and negative effects of these tragic events that impact so many within our community?

Brenda and Jackie will answer our questions about the status of sexual violence on university communities. OSU staff will be present to answer questions about the OSU response to violence.

Oregon State has taken a proactive stance in addressing the problem of violence on campus. The university has new sexual harassment policies and procedures. The Survivor Advocacy and Resource Center has, in its first year, successfully collaborated with many of you to provide immediate support in the classroom to improve survivors’ abilities to remain in school. We thank you for your continued assistance in providing a safer environment for survivors to help them remain successful in their academic pursuits. Without your incredible support we would not have been able to help these students with their post traumatic growth.
